Mt. Daimonji, the hike to photograph the best view over Kyoto

I was thinking about to go to Mt. Daimonji one of the coming days and the day after I was thinking about it I met with Gábor, a Hungarian guy.
He just arrived to Kyoto a few days earlier and was up for anything to do in or around the city so we decided to go together on the weekend.
First we took our bikes and cycling at the afternoon to the start of the hiking trail and started to hike up on the mountain which was a lot of stairs and like most of the Japanese stairs these were small also so not the most comfortable for our big feet for sure.
But after a while we finally managed to walk up to the view point on the mountian.

I would say it is a pretty nice view over Kyoto during the day but the best is when the sun goes down behind the city and the mountains. I loved to watch it while I was taking pictures but the flies and mosquitoes were quite annoying during all the time.

At the end I had an idea to try taking a picture which kind of shows you looking over the city from a “cliff” and it turned out quite well compared to what possibilities were avaliable there.
